The solar oven is the device which utilizes sunlight as the source of energy. By using easily available household materials, you can make your own solar oven.

Let us have a look at the materials needed in the construction of solar ovens. You need plywood, cookie trays, screws, aluminum sheets, black paint, small volts, Styrofoam and hinges. Once you have all these necessary materials you can start constructing your solar oven. The first step is to prepare a box and for this get the required pieces of plywood with a length of inch. The outside has to be framed using these. Use the cookie trays made of metal now and screw these to the interior portion of the plywood. Use screws for joining the panes. The panels of the sun-collector have to be attached into the oven with braces followed by bending them at about 67 degree. Bolt these panels into the braces which were connected to the box. Use wing nuts for attaching the panel by means of little plastic pieces as small bolts and hinges.
